New instrument recordings

So not too much outdoor recording this weekend due to having a thick head for most of the weekend. This headache doesn't want to shift so has rurally knocked me back. However, I did mange to record an array of percussive instruments in my conservatory when I was feeling a little more coherent.

On my trip the Falmouth I picked up a thunder box which makes an awesome sound, the little xylophone which I think is from Vietnam and this cute whistle slide. As well as theses instruments we have an array of shakers, african drums and the little african piano called a Mbira.

A sample of some of these can be heard on the Organik Reflektion sound cloud page:

I spent some time playing around with these sounds and morphed them so that they are almost unrecognisable in their original format.

Hopefully, later this week I start the recurring process of the compositions for the Organik Reflektion EP.

Wind Turbine

Another sunny afternoon. This time on the way the home from college, I stopped and filmed a wind turbine.

Even through these white giants are controversial, they are still very majestic. Very little chance of getting a sound from these giants as apart from the generators, they are surprisingly silent!

However the video footage will come in handy for the visual aspect of this project.

Hartland Quay

A walk to Hartland Quay and down to the beach. A chance to get some video and sounds of the waves coming in.

Lovely sunny day and not as bitterly cold as previous days.
